The Parish Council is working on a project to provide allotments for use of Stukeleys residents and an area of community woodland, including walks. Urban and Civic, developers of the ex-airfield site, are planning to support the project with allocation of land and assistance with the development. The proposed site is at the end of Owl End in Gt. Stukeley, on land that is part of Grange Farm which Urban and Civic purchased last year. A number of local residents have indicated interest in taking allotments but this is a significant project for the whole community.
A public meeting was held on Aug 11 2011 to explain the plans and to discuss the development with residents of the Parish. A short questionnaire was distributed to those present for comments.
Typically, at each monthly Parish Council meeting, we discuss the project. Please come along and if you'd like to give us your views you can put them to the Council at the open session that precedes every meeting. Otherwise please contact the Clerk or any Councillor.
