Replacement Play Equipment at Little Stukeley
Following our success with grant funding for new play equipment in Great Stukeley, the Stukeleys Parish Council is pleased to announce that it has been successful in securing grants towards the cost of replacing the play equipment adjacent to the village hall at Little Stukeley.
Funding will be supplied by the Big Lottery Fund and the Woodford Community and Environmental fund using monies kindly provided by Woodford Waste Management Services Ltd. The remaining amount will be contributed by the parish council.
The new equipment, which it is anticipated will be installed before the end of the year, will be supplied by Monster Play. It consists of a swing set with 2 cradle and 2 flat seats, a "Mount Apache" unit which offers a selection of challenging climbing activities suitable for children aged 5-12, a wide embankment slide and two goal ends. A large percentage of the steel in the units is recycled and the plastic is also recycled. As part of the project the woodchip surfacing will be renewed and grass safety matting installed around the slide and goals.
Thanks to everyone who provided their support for the project and helped to select the final design!
