The Parish Council wishes to notify residents of proposed changes to speed limits on key routes around Huntingdon, Great Stukeley and Spittals Interchange. The proposals are as follows:
- Ermine Street (Huntingdon / Great Stukeley) Replacement of the existing 50mph speed limit with a 40mph limit.
- A141 – Spittals Interchange to A141/Ermine Street/Stukeley Road Roundabout Replacement of the existing 60mph speed limit with a 50mph limit.
- Brampton Bypass (A141) Introduction of a 50mph limit from the end of the 40mph limit across Spittals Interchange to a point 827m southwest of its junction with the Interchange.
These changes are proposed to ensure appropriate traffic speeds around planned developments adjacent to Ermine Street, the A141 and the A1307, including new access arrangements and a proposed roundabout.
For administrative purposes, the draft Order also revokes and consolidates the CCC (Various Speed Limits) (A141 Spittals Interchange to Hartford Roundabout) Order 2010, and updates several nearby speed limit Orders to reflect current on‑street signage.
